Four-days local camps

In the beginning of the MeM project, the plan was to organize the camp in Kuldiga, Latvia where all of the participants from four countries could gather and meet each other in real life. Camp is designed as a part of the educational program. As opposed to the educational course, it is more practice-oriented.

Due to the restrictions, we were not allowed to have it and we decided to replace one big international camp with four smaller local ones. Camps were located in Kuldīga (Latvia,) Haapsalu (Estonia), Noormarkku (Finland), and Eggeby gård in Stockholm (Sweden). During these four days, we had the best of both worlds – local activities and international practices – finally, meeting experts, artists, and each other face to face.

Within the framework of the camp’s international program, the participants got acquainted with the mediation strategies of the curator Daniela Ramos Arias and took a part in the workshop “Critical documentation: How to look at the past and not re-produce the future” by the artist Emmeli Person.

This event is a part of the camp program.
